knock sensor trouble

i have a 2004 silverado with a 332 code. you will probally find the rear sensor totally rusted and the front in mint condition. it will be best to replace both sensors and the wiring harness. make sure you use only o.e.m. parts not aftermarket. trust me aftermarket parts will not signal correct to your computer. i learned this the hard way. clean the rust completely out of the sensor cavity. if the rubber bottom in the cavity is lost due to cleaning. replace it by squirting in some blue rtv sealant and run around the bottom with your finger.also do not overtighten the knock senser. hand tight and then one quarter turn with rachet. good luck
