Default lift kit for 05 silverado

i am looking at the superlift 3.5 in lift or the skyjacker 3 in lift with hydro shocks
i have a 05 silverado 5.3 z71 4+4 crew cab
any imput from people that have done these or any other 3-4 in lift would be greatly appreciated
or would it be better to get a body lift instead of a suspension lift
also what is the size of tire i am looking at with these lifts

Max of 34" tires if you don't mind doing some trimming. 33" if you don't want to trim. Wheel offset will be critical if you don't want them to rub. Go with the susp lift if you want a clean functional look.

Skyjacker has had a better reputation. But it all depends on what you are looking for. What do you plan on using the truck for? Towing? Offroad? Or boulavard cruising? BTW the truck will handle differently becouse the center of gravity will be higher. the ride shouldn't change much other than the big tires will cusion or ride harder depending on how much air and how tough the sidewalls are on the tread. Cornering will suck even more than before becouse of the higher center of gravity.

I have a 4" Fabtech with 13.5" wide by 35" tall tires. Because of the width they only sit 33.5" tall. Keep this in mind when ordering tires and, yes, you will have to trim the front valence.
As far as which brand of lift....When I hear skyjacker I think Ford.....Superlift-straight axle....it's really preference and what you intend to do with the truck. Petersen's 4 wheel and off road magazine had an article on each of the major brands a couple months ago. You can search thier archives and, in the mean time, I will try and find the article.
