Yeh keep searching for the best price, they are out there. What is the difference between the gas and diesel body lifts? I thought that they were the same body?

Price out a suspension lift too just because they will allo your truck to ride nicer. Body lifts make for harsh ride because of the polyurithane (sp?) bushings they use.

A suspention lift will change the ride, not a body lift. A body lift does just that, lifts the body (seperating it further from the frame). Therefore it will not chenage the ride quality. The poly bushing that jcbst12 was talking about will keep the frame from flexing more than the body and visa versa. Keeps it more rigid, which is a good thing. BTW you have a K2500 becouse it is a 4x4. C series means that it is 2 wheel andK series means that it is an 4x4.

I have a friend with a suspension and one with a body lift. One is a 94 Chevy and the body lift is on a late 80's K-5 Blazer. The handling is somewhat the same but vibrations from the road are felt more in the seat of your pants on the body lift then withoutthe lift. The suspension lift does change the ride quality but I'd prefer bouncy over vibration. Thats kinda the point I was making. I guess it depends on the kit too. I had polyurithane sway bar bushings and control arm bushings on my last truck and had vibrations from the road come through the steering more so than when it was new.

Yeh it does depend on what kits that you get for either lift. You can get a soft ride susp lift and get a better quality ride out of your truck. Stiffer bushing between the body and frame will transfer more vibrations, but you will have less body roll from the frame. Which if you think about it will help to stiffen the frame a bit too, becouse of the body being more rigidly mounted to the frame. Kinda like a Uni body.

i like suspension lifts because they give you more actual ground clearance... the only ground clearance you get from a body lift is from the larger tires you can put on

I agree with both of you. Another point over the ground clearance issue tho is I'm not a fan of seeing almost the entire frame either that is exposed when you do a body lift.

I am with you, but ground clearance is only as good as the tires that are under it (becouse of the rear axle). The main thing that a susp lift has over the body lift is that they usually get more susp articulation out of it. Which helps in a lot of situations. But if you are doing flat land muddin' and you just need big tires, body lift is the way to go so that you can clear the bigger tires and gain the same amount of ground clearance for a lot cheaper! That will expose more of the frame which does look tacky to me too, but if it done right with the frame guards and cover it in mud from time to time then it shouldn't matter too much. At least you would be using the 4x4 more than those guys that jack them up 15" and put 44's on to drive main st. on friday nights!
