lowend TQ
Alot of the upgrades that have been talked about here increase HP and throttle response. Very little lowend TQ increase though, and some decrease. Any ideas on building in lowend TQ? I only know how to add HP.

RE: lowend TQ
The only thing I know as far as building low end back up are installing a supercharger and going with a different cam but I don't know anything about cam specs. I know going to a higher stall torque converter might help with the low end. Have thought about that before, actually.... may have to look into that. Argon will going with a higher stall torque converter overheat the transmission fluid in these trucks or is there room to play there?

OK, I was a bit confused. I don't know much about torque converters, but I read a little and now I realize my thinking was wrong. Here is a site that I read on that seems to explain things if you don't know torque converters. http://www.babcox.com/editorial/bf/bf90054.htm

A higher stall torque converter will keep you in the pwerband. If you do a cam swap take into account where the cams powerband is and choose a higher stall converter to compliment that cam, they work great together.
I've got a Yank TT3000 stall converter and it is very street friendly and keeps my truck in the powerband for what my cam is designed for.
