You can also use carb cleaner to cleanthe MAF, it works fine, just make sure it is dry before hooking it back up.

 

But... but they come in blue... and yellow... and RED!

 

I put an intake on my truck and a TBS. They both made noticable gains on my truck but once I descreened the MAF sensor, man the thing got anxious on me. The throttle responce is great! I bought a lower temp thermostat too. I think this will make it run like a scalded dog along with the programmer and the free mods. Ok as far as the spark plug thing goes, I put split fire plugs and then platinum + 4s in my last truck and it ran like sh*t. I put in NGK plugs and it ran like a champ and got better gas milage. AC Delcos would work well too. Leave the fancy plugs to the ricers.

 

Those fancy plugs don't work well in anything! Some people can get by with them but most people have problems. They certainly don't help performance!

 

I thought i would chime in and make my first post on this topic. I laugh every time i here somebody say they bought these new hi-po plugs and man she will scream now! (not baggin on you JohnAdamsR) but they do this with stock output ignition systems, those plugs are designed to workwith high output ignitions ie: 45,000 v plus. with a stocker ign. you are only going to get stock output. save your money for better mods.

 

Not only that but the stock ignition system is all you need unless you have some considerable mods done to the engine (ergo Cam and fuel injectors and headers, etc). I had MSD ignition with NGK rapid fire plugs and it wasn't until I got the performance PROM did it actually help. Before that it would dog on hot days. At the time I also had the heads ported, higher flow injectors and TBS.
