Default Manual Window Conversion?

So...the driver's side window on my '99 Silverado is broken. The cable for the electric window broke. Is there an easy way to convert it to a manual window? I have already replaced the electric system once and am tired of doing that.

Thanks y'all

Not sure then sorry. I did the opposite (manual to power) conversion on an old body 99 truck and it was not too bad, but would be much easier going power to manual.

One would think I could simply replace the crank and the door panel. However, I dunno. I grew up working on Blue Ovals so this Chevy thing is still new to me.

On the older one the regulator and everything was different, but GM made it easy because the whole inner door skin unbolted and the power one bolted right up in its place. I just found power inner door skins from a salvage yard and wired them up. It will decrease the value of your truck going to manual and I imagine would be cheaper and less work to just repair the power windows. Just my opinion.

You may be right about the cost. The decrease in resale doesn't bother me. This is just a beater truck that I drive around town. If I had my way, and it didn't rain, I would just drop the window down in the door frame and call it done.
