Mass Air Flow Censor Help!
I just installed the Jet Mass Air Flow Censor and did notice a power gain with my cold air intake. But after driving 30 miles the engine check light came on. WTF! I am going to get a custom tune done by MTI on Thursday. Is this something they can clear?

You can tune it out, but if you clear it, it will just come right back. Even if the light didn't come on, you need a tune to richen the AFR cause the aftermarket MAF sensors like that tend to cause the engine to run lean.

air fuel ratio... also called air fuel mixture. I'd take it to Autozone or Advance auto parts and get them to check and clear the code for you. Make sure it has something to do with the MAF. If it comes back on, reinstall the factory MAF and clear the code again and just wait to put it on until you can get a tune. If you are sure it's the MAF causing the problem I'd give JET performance a call immediately and ask them what is going on with their product.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Shorty's aren't going to make any difference at all in low end power/torque. A custom tune will. You may notice some increase in torque with long tubes but I doubt it. I think those are both more of mid to top end power mods.

Cool thanks for your help, I was just thinking of other mods I could get done before my custom tune. I have the super 44 flowmaster single in dull out, air aid cold air intake with jet MAC, TB spacer, and 4:10 gear. I guess I'm good to go. Should I even bother with a pully kit?

RE: Mass Air Flow Censor Help!
If I remember the underdrive pully kits by Thunder Racing and JET are fairly expensive for our trucks. Something like $300 sounds about right if my memory is correct. Certainly not worth the gains.... I mean you'd feel gains but not $300 worth.
