Default Mass Air Flow Sensor v6

I'm looking to replace the Mass Air Flow sensor on my 04 Silverado V6. I would like to pick up the part for as little cost as possible. Is the mass air flow sensor different between v8 and v6 models? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Yes they have different settings. Just get one remanufactured from the parts store and should be good to go. Do you have a different air filter or set up?

Well I was making sure u didnt have a aftermarket oiled filter like K&N. They dirty up the sensor and will throw the readings a little off. A clean new paper filter will do you just fine. I would change it every oil change to get maximum performance and MPG's.
