Okay, I found a site where I can get either a Flowtech Terminator or Flowmaster super 44 muffler for about $60-$80 with 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlet. I want to have two pipes coming straight out the back with chrome tips.

The only thing I am having trouble locating are the tail pipes for this. The only split dual pipes I can find come with the entire cat back system and I ain't gonna spend that kind of money. Anyone know where I can pick up the tailpipes reasonably, they don't have to be pretty

You can find anything on ebay. And, any muffler shop, or any aftermarket parts store should sell tips.

Oh yeah here is the website:

Partstrain.com

I have found that their prices are lower than anywhere else. I refuse to buy anything off of ebay, I've been burned before.

Do you guys think that my truck will be a little too loud running a super 44 with no cats?

Here in Houston, Texas it seems like everyone is running a Flowmasters. That is why I always look for something a bit different. LikeI posted a while back; I believe you were the one who found the Terminator for such a good price and thatis the one my dad had on his truck for so long. Anyhow I am found of the Terminator, because it is aggressive sounding, but yet a bit on the mellow sounding... that is my opinion. However I do not know what it would sound like on your truck with know cats. Are you running headers of any sort or does the truck have any mods at all or is it completely stock?
Anyhow I am way off track from your question so I will get back to it. Since you are asking about tailpipes... just shop around at all the differnt muffler shops and get a card with quotes on them. Tell them what you want including the tips... try to get the stainless steel tips. Show the other shop the shop with the best price and maybe they will beat the competitors priceand who ever gives you the better price jump on it. Heck they might even have the muffler you want and if not have the muffler you want with you and tell them you are bringingthe muffler too.

Yeah that was me. Around here people all have surgery to get their noses pointed straight in the air and I can't name one person with custom exhaust so I'm not too worried about sounding uniform. The problem I have with the terminator is I can't find anybody who reveiws about how loud it is in relation to the Super 44's or the regular 40. The super 44 seems like it has the right sound for me. I did find a setup on ebay that I liked: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&viewitem=

I thought of something else: Am I going to have to remove my spare tire to run the duals?
