Well fuel filters need to be changed atleast every 50,000-60,000 miles. As for plugs and wires, it really depends what quality your running. A lot of people will change the plug wires every time they change the plugs but that isn't necessary. If your running a normal spark plug, I'd recommend changing them about 30,000-40,000 miles. Platinum last a bit longer and Iridiums are supposed to last 100,000. These are all rough guesstimates as far as mileage goes except for the iridiums. Ofcourse at a shop they'll recommend changing this stuff much sooner but these are all guesstimates for someone who can't afford to routinely change crap every 6 months or so. You should also change the cap and rotor on the distributor as part of the normal "tune-up".
