MrLM7 Question?

Default MrLM7 Question?

If i removed my pads would it hurt if i get mud on my engine. What does the pads do. I go hunting so i did not know if the mud would get in the spots where the pads are. Thanks

You may get mud there, but just clean the motor as normal and be sure to clean this area after the motor has cooled.

Sorry for the late response, I just got on here. It will not hurt your motor to get a littlemud in there. The pads are there to aid in cold weather starts, not to keep stuff out. -HOWEVER- There is a knock sensor in the rear. But, if you go through mud that deep, you'll have bigger problems than the knock sensor getting a little dirty. Like your electric fans getting clogged......

Yeah i wont be going in mud that deep but when im off road it gets up around the motor from my tires throughing it.

You'll be fine. my buddy has a GMC with almost 200,000 miles on it and he's had his pads out for almost a year and a half... He has mud on his hood insulation....

No i have been wanting to and also do the tb bypass but i have been working from sun up to sun down the past few weeks and no time to do it.
