Default mufflers

Does anybody know the difference between the flowmaster mufflers? I am planing on flowmaster 40 delta, but if 50 series or other are better then I will change. I just cannot find a good source to tell if any are better performance wise or just lower sound in cab. Even from flomaster site.

ive seen some where that they make the 40 series for cars 50 series for who knows what and 70 series for trucks. but that all could be related to the sound output.

SMOKE,
THE 40 SERIES IS AN ALL OUT PERFORMANCE FLOW AND SOUND MUFFLER.I AM PRETTY SURE THE 50 IS THE FORCE 2 SYSTEM. MUCH QUITER, AND I THINK ITS A WASTE OF TIME. THE 70 SERIES ARE TYPICALLY USED ON RV APPLICATIONS. THE DELTA AND THE SUPER 40 ARE SIMILAR. I AM PRETTY SURE THE DELTA IS ALSO USED WHERE SPACE IS A FACTOR I WOULD STICK WITH THE SUPER 40. HOPR I HELPED

Gearheadrt - do you think the super 40 are that much better than the delta 40? I want the most power I can get, but don't want the cab resonance. The headers are loud enough at full power. I used to like the loudness when I was younger but now I want good sound without the volume at cruising speeds. I don't mind when I floor it though, it can be as loud as needed then.

SMOKE,
THATS THE THING, MY SUPER 40 IS LOUD INSIDE, BUT I LIKE IT. I ALSO HAVE SIDE EXIT, ( NASCAR TRUCKS ) MY BUDDY HAS THE FORCE 2 AND YOU REALLY DONT HEAR IT UNLESS YOU GET ON IT. I AM GONNA TRY TO PUT A SOUND CLIP ON HERE OF THE 40'S SOUND AROUND 70MPH OR SO. BUT YOU DEFINITLY HEAR THEM INDIDE THE CAB. HOPE THIS HELPED

I have a pair of delta 40s on my hd and they are pretty loud. I had to put a tailpipe on the truck so i could talk to people in the backseat and its still hard to hear them at times.

Thanks guys, I wil probably stick with the 40 Deltas like I had on my last truck. They were loud on acceleration, but quite on cruise in the cab and still sounded powerful outside. Nothing like a good sounding exhaust.

UNDERCONSTRUCTION,
For the best performance tone, you cant go wrong with the super 40's, or the deltas
