Default Need Info on Headers guys

i have a 5.7L Vortec engine mostly stock. An AEM Brute force intake with 30 series dual flowmasters. I want to know if it is worth anything to change my headers? i've had people tell me i should do it before and i was wondering what enhancements they can give? Does it give any more performance? better sound? any help would be much appreciated. thanks

A set of shorty headers will give you more flow so better power, a little better sound and better hoghway milage (if you can keep your foot out of it) You have already opened the intake, so let that sucker breathe.

For my engine swap, i picked up a set of billy boat short headers off from an h2, along with that im gonna drop the cat and add a flwmaster 40 into duals, im going for power and economy, hopefully it works

No inspection here in SC either. I think there were too many rednecks that couldn't pass so they changed the law to help outus good ol' boys.

Dyno tests have shown that shorties don't flow much better than the stock manifolds. The stock ones actually flow pretty good. Look into Thorley and Pacesetter if you want headers.
