Default negative affect???

Aight so i put on my trans dapt tbs the other night had a oppertunity to run it tonight and it made my truck run slower....Has anyone else had this happen to them?....Also that same night i descreened my MAF but if i hit the hot wires my check engine light would of came on correct?....im pretty sure i didnt hit them. But iv'e never seen this type of maf before either do your trucks have two alluminum looking posts going straight up and down with a wire connecting the two at the top and bottom half of the MAF?....just wondering cuz my impala ss looked nothing like this.

according to the directions that came with it on my year which is an 05 i dont need that throttle rolocator bracket...and from what i saw its an enclosed cable system on the side of the tb and it electronically controlled by the go pedal. ill look again to make sure but thats wat i believe i saw didnt look at it to much. What should i use to clean the MAF?....also took off the tbs and it is faster now without it on...weird

Your sure its lined up properly? No gaps between the intake and the tbs? Is there any "lip" between the tbs and the tb? What kind of gasket did they give you?

Any chance you got it in there backwards? I have an 05' as well and it is all electronic, no throttle cable brackets.
