Default New 2007 Votex Max

Hello to all, I just purchased a 2007 Silverado 6.0, and I wanted to improve my horsepower to 400. What suggestions would you all have for the 6.0. Plus has anyone actually tried running a true dual exhaust setup? Let me know your thoughts!!!

You don't want true duals. Not enough backpressure. And nobody on here has dyno'd their truck so we haven't the slightest what kinda of power and torque we're pushing. I was gonna get my truck dyno'd at a car show next saturday but I decided not to waste the money right now. If you wanna push that kind of power your gonna be spending quite a bit of money. Probably will need to get a bigger cam or supercharger to push 400HP. Unless you wanna do something a little different like put some super high performance heads on there with a better flowing intake manifold, and replace the fuel pump, fuel injectors, and probably the fuel rails with something bigger and better, and get a custom ECU tune to sync it all up. But you are gonna destroy your factory warranty to do any of that stuff.

Are you looking for 400 hp to the flywheel or to the ground? To the flywheel will be easy, to the ground is a little harder.

What??? 380? I just read on Edmunds that they have 345hp. By the time it makes it to the wheels it's probably closer to 300hp which means he'll have to do a lot to get to 400hp. Not as much as I would have to do obviously but still a lot.

Actually it's 367 hp on the 6.0. Straight off the chevy website. So you only have to make up 33hp to get to 400 at the flywheel.

Yea it is 367. I figured to do the basic's. I ordered a new intake box which should help a little bit. Plus I wanted to get some headers as well. I figured that would help quite a bit. Then finish it off with a programmer of some sort.
