Volant is a great product and I highly recommend it. I went the Granatelli CAI. It certainly made a difference in performance and sounds awesome when you open the throttle up. In addition, it looks nice under the hood. They sale the Granatelli on performancecenter.com and for a decent price. Here is a picture for you to see what it looks like on my engine.

Thanks for the pics SC, thats one well maintained engine, bro. Did you have to do any fan shroud trimming because of the TBS? Looks like the fit is pretty snug

Thanks for the compliments everyone! You know, I have always kept a clean truck and a clean engine. I know a lot of tricks on how to get your engine looking immaculate, so if you are interested let me know.

As far as the fit for my CAI, let me tell ya it was a son of a bitch!! I installed my TBS before I got my CAI and everything fit fine with the factory air system. When I got my CAI, that is where I started to have problems. I had to cut about a half inch of the end of the CAI and I had to cut a block section of the fan guard. I hated to do it, but it was the only way I could make it fit. If you have electric fans you don't have to worry about any of this nonsense, because there is plenty of room. I called Granatelli and told them they should think about creating some sort of disclaimer stating that their CAI will not fit with TBS's. They were very understanding and said they would research more into it, but I'm sure they were appeasing me to get me off the phone. After everything was said and done, the CAI increased performance remarkably, and as I preivously said the sound is awesome. Let me know if I can help you out any further. Once again, thanks for the compliments on my engine, it really makes me feel good!

Hey guys, those pics Mark (SC_CHEVY_LOVER) posted really don't do justice to his engine bay. I'd have a hard time picking wether I wanted to eat off a clean plate or his motor - it's that clean!!!!

Mark - thanks to you being unusual in the sense of how clean you keep a 4X4, you've made me strieve to keepmycamaro that much cleaner!

If you guys need any tips on how to clean something, he's the guy to ask (and I thought Iknew a thing or two about it since I worked as an automotive detailer for a few years in my"younger" days) !!

Hey ninety7 - good to have you here. I don't remember seeing anyone else out there with a 6.0 like I have, but if you're planning on doing both the TBS and the CAI, I'm not sure that it is possable.... even if you cut some off the CAI tube. I put the trans dapt TBS in on Wed and love it, but my stock air tube is pressed into the fan bezel and it's about half an inch off the fan itself.

ninety7 - if you're on a budget get the trans dapt spacer and just see the changes it will make for $50. That will make you readjust your budget so that you'll be able to afford other mods later on.

thanks superddd, good to be on this forum. I was thinking the exact same thing last night. Think I'll try the TBS first and see how it does by itself. That'll kinda do 2 things, 1.because my truck is still stock doing the TBS alone might give me a better feel for just how much a 1 inch metal spacer can really help, which is question of much debate. 2. It's cheaper and I can order it today, as in right now!!

As far as the CAI fitting, dont think I should have too many problems as I have the 4.8, gonna make sure I call the manufacturer before I buy. S&B and Volant are like thirty minutes from where live.

Is there some kinda trick to this font size it changes by itself
