I have plugged two different OBD II code readers into the port just under my steering wheel. Followed the directions exactly.

The OBD doesnt even come on.....

Check your fuses.

 

Check the cig lighter fuse to be exact. The DLC is on this circuit.

My kid stuffed a dime in mine once and I couldn't figure out why my snap-on tool wouldn't come on. That was it so if the fuse is blown, check the lighter socket for something inside.
