......you've been 160 in your truck or something else? I have only seen a few videos of our trucks getting up to that speed and they were all with superchargers or turbochargers.
The fastest I've been is 120 in a 300ZX twin turbo. As soon as I switched from 3rd-4th I glanced down to see 120 and was scared I was gonna get pulled over and arrested so I brought that trip to the moon to a quick halt. You just can't go around doing those speeds around here. WAY too much law enforcement.

I don't recall how fast I was going, but I was the passenger in a corvette and we were definately over 120 since I've driven at that speed and not worried about it ....but I my let's just say that my **** puckered a little that night. lol If it was only a straight away, I probably wouldn't have freaked ...but there were a few curves.

lol, no....something else. I wish my truck would go that fast. That would be Awesome! I did 160mph in my last car which was a 1998 Camaro Z28 with the LS1. The only reason I had the ***** to go that fast was because the cops were chasing me on the highway and i didnt want another ticket (i have a severe medical condition known as leadfoot). The Crown Vic had no chance of catching me once i broke 100mph. I also had 3 of my buddies in the car with me. 2 of them kept saying "slow down, please for the love of god slow down!" and my one really redneck friend kept saying "faster...go faster!"

I managed to sqeeze 115mph out of my 91' with a 5.0, so I got real pissed that a truck with 70 more stock hp (my 99') couldn't go over 100mph. 100+ in a newer Silverado is nothing, try holding a short bed reg cab 91' with 33" tires on the road at 115mph, that was scary. The 99' will hit 128mph. I only had it up to 120mph but it wasn't as bad just more bouncy.

Yeah, those speeds are really nothing when you are in a vehicle that is designed to do them. But like Argon has said, our trucks are limited at 100mph because they are not designed to go any faster than that. The factory brakes and suspension simply aren't designed for those speeds. Both of those are a MUST for triple digit speeds! Like I said before too, you better know your tires are rated to go the speed you intend to go. If your tires are rated to do 95mph and your doing 130mph when one blows out and you roll it several times and slam it into someone else and everyone dies, the tire company is just gonna laugh it up when your folks try to hold them responsible....[&:]
