i know i said i wouldnt but heres the catch a buddy of the familys has an older 83 suburban that is rusty but has a 4 or 6 inch lift with 33s on it he is selling it for 700 i am gonna sell my truck i think for 2 with the rest im gonna fix my cars o2 sensors i think

im goin there later to look at the suburban

What about your extra frame? You did all the work on the extra frame for nothing?

I'd be leery to buy another rusty truck if I were you. You know your current truck better than anybody, and getting a new rusty truck will bring its own host of problems with it.

Sounds like a good deal though

im not really selling but it is on craigslist i am trying to see what some one would offer and also i am trying to find a suburban as i have one more on hte way and a one year old so i need some more room and my car will work to haul them around its just it aint got but one seat belt in the backseat and its sposed to have 3
and junkyards dont tend to sell used seatbelts for some reason i think saftey
so if i get no offers i wont sell if i get one for the right amount i may sell

Well, I imagine that they don't sell the seat belts because most people tend to cut them out and use the belts as straps for things.

well i havent had any offers at all so far so its looking like nobody is realy wantin a truck
so ive came to one of 2 decisions
lift it 4 inches and make it my toy
or two lift it put a plow on it and still have a toy

What engine does it have in it? Year? I thought the frame was all rusted through ... you definitely don't want to plow with the frame like that.

its a 94 and its got the 5.7 lv8 4l60e trans
and no more rusted frame my brother patched it up last friday im currently in the process of undercoating the frame i have 90% done i ran out of material on the pass side rear so i have to wait to finish the process friday to put a couple more coats on the thing all together

and the plow i would be looking for is the ploy kind as it is alot lighter

So did you swap the whole front end like you were planning on, or did you just cut and replace the rusty sections?

Got any pictures of it in construction?

no pictures of it being worked on it was being worked on while i was working
and no i didnt go with my plan to use the whole front end of the donor truck frame
i cut the frame sections out that i needed and i had him do the rest he welded the patches i cut over the wholes i can take pitctures tomorrow of its final result
i need to do some small cuting work to finish what he didnt but it is done

ok so i just priced lift kits from skyjacker and downloaded the install for the 4 inch lift kit
its not to far out of my price range and and the instructions are very easy to follow

so definatly gonna be lifting it when my taxes come back when ever that is
i dont think im selling it now
