Geez go easy on the caps lock, My ears are ringing just from reading this!

 

My 1990 model Chevy C1500 5.7 with bolt on mods has less horse power than my 04 Gmc Sierra with almost the same bolt on mods, but the 5.7 has out-done my 5.3 in towing and mileage. And I have towed our motorcross trailer with all sorts of with air catching items; such as, deer stands, dirt/ street bikes, etc...and various weights on it. The 5.7 builds torque at lowerRPMs allowing more power, but the 5.3 builds more power at higher RPMs and revs faster. I like my 5.3, but I prefer the 5.7's power at lower RPMs especailly when towing and everyday driving. I dislike the 5.3 when it down shifts and tacks up the RPMs so high to pass someone or just to accelerate up a hill. The 5.3 is growing on me though. 5.7 is my chioce, but that is just my opinion though.
