I wanted to share my boneheaded mistake that I made today. I replaced the vapor canister vent solenoid with the manufacturer-recommended kit. All went well until I cleared the code, shut off my truck, then turned it back on. That's when the code re-appeared.

My tip for the day: remember to plug in the power cable to the solenoid before clearing the code or, you know, the code will come back.
