Overtime equals toys
I just got my exhaust installed. Hey Smoke, I know I was supposed to install the headers first, but the exhaust came and my headers are on back order supposed to get here in the next couple of weeks. The only place to hide the exhaust from my wife was on the truck. I put the Magnaflow high flow cats on and a single in dual out Magnaflow cat back exhaust with 14" rolled end tips on it. I changed my previous plans and ordered up a Doug Thorley ceramic coated shorty exhaust, THY-309C. I'm glad I did. To get the cats in place on the passenger side, I had to jack the transmission and drop the cross members. The only issue on the catback was having to bend a hanger just forward of the spare tire to get clearance for the spare tire. The catback system is the 15841. I don't think my computer has figured it all out yet, my mileage is all over the place. I'm installing the Granatelli MPG+ spark plug wires with a set of HALO spark plugs. The spark plugs are an experiment, but are supposed to be good for extra MPG. If they don't pan out, I'm going to try the E3's. If no luck there, I'm going with Denso's. I also installed a set of visor shelfs, Vizor Caddies by Dee Zee. I'm loving the extra storage. I'm definetly going to need a tuning to sort all this out.
Has anyone had any experience with the HALO plugs?

Oh, I almost forgot. I just did an oil change and switched over to Royal Purple with a new K&N filter. The transmission fluid is next for an update to Royal Purple. I ran into a guy at Advance Auto when buying the RP who was buying some from himself. He must have been a professor at UVA from his familiarity with petro chem products. He was telling me that Amsoil buys lube from RP for the machines that produce the Amsoil. I'd say that was a pretty good endorsement for RP.

I also ordered a Fitch Fuel Catalyst that installs inline. I was watching Speed Channel, and they installed one one on a project truck. It gave them a few mpg's. We'll see. This is it, but I didn't pay that much for it.

Ideally you'll be able to run 87 octane and have it run like it does with 89. It supposedly will run better/smoother too but I want to know for sure before I buy it cause our trucks are pretty fuel efficient (for what they are anyways).

Don't stick E3s in there. Those are crap. I don't know a thing about the Halos but they probably suck too. Most new cars are designed to run with an exact type of plug and changing that can cause issues. Almost everyone on here who has changed the plugs will tell you to stick with ACDelco Iridiums like it had in there to begin with. Those are supposed to be good for 100,000 miles.
