I was looking at these chips for our truck on ebay, now im really not sure, im thinking its fake but its for only 8 bucks so why not?

This is Prob just the cold air resistor mode you can do for free if you go to radio shack and buy a 35 cent resistor
Not sure exactly how to do it but it fools the ECM to think the air coming is is colder than it is and the engine proforms beter so they says

Basically, what you would be buyingis a 20 cent resistor that you can pick up somewhere like Radio Shack. Whether the mod really does anything, I can't tell you, but I do know that it will cause your engine to either run rich or lean. Not sure which one, but if you do a search you'll probably find info on this. I also seriously doubt you'd get 20 hp from it. It fools the ATI sensor into thinking the air coming in is very cold

 

I know a guy who did this to a relatively new Hemi Dodge Ram and he said he actually lost power and his gas mileage plummeted. He bought a resister from radio shack and found out from a forum which pins to jump.

Long story short don't fall for this garbage. I gaurntee you if you have a warranty on your truck still and they find out you did something like that you wouldn't have a warranty any more.
