I have a 2006 Silverado Z71 4x4 5.3 and just bought a 6500lb camper. Is there any suggestion as to a performance chip or programmer I can purchase to help with power and fuel efficiency and not brake the bank.

 

Either a good handheld; such as, Superchips, Hypertech, Diablo... Other than that get a true Tune done by Nelson Performance, Wheatley, Black Bear...

 

I bought a hypertech econ for my 2000 454 vortech and have seen very little increase in fuel economy and could not recommend it based on my results. Power may have increased a little but not much. My truck already has JBA headers, cold air intake and dual exhausts. The only thing that made any difference was the headers and exhaust. Let me know if you try something that works.
