Hey guys, i own a 00 5.3L silverado and im lookin to buy a performance chip for it but im not sure on which one to get, you guys got any suggestions?

 

The best thing to do here is to have your truck custom tuned, it will out perform any handheld programmer and be set up how you want it safely. Custom tunning can do more than the hand helds and will not cause problems, some of the handhelds will allow you to turn things up too far and you could end up buying a new tranny to gowith it.

 

After all the problems I have trying use my Superchip Flashpaq tuner, I wish I would have gone with the custom tune. I should have read more of your posts HemiKiller. Anyway legacy, I would listen to HemiKiller about this topic and go with the custom tune.

HemiKiller does them, so talk to him about it... he does a great job, and I intend to get mine done by him in the near future.
