Default Power Gains

So I just bought a 1997 Z71 with the 350 5.7L V8 two months ago and I want to get some more out of it.. I was reading through the "Free Mods Sticky" and I want to Get a K&N Filter, Cut the airbox, Cut the exhaust before the muffler, and remove the sensor.. what kind of gains will i get? and is it worth it? i pull a trailer a lot and do a lot of city driving.

Cutting the exhaust before the muffler will hurt you. Start with the basics. Exhaust system, Headers, K&N like you mentioned or a CAI, Underdrive pulleys, Intake, Chip or a tune. Go with it from there.

For your driving, headers will be the best thing! I got mine for $250 off ebay for my 2001. Stainless steel too.
