I never mess with front ends as far as alignment and ****, my truck has more then a 1/4 turn of slack in the wheel its like taking an overloaded wheelbarrel down the road. I just had a coolant flush today and asked my mechanic for a quote on re-paring the front end and he said somewhere in the nieghborhood of $500 which didnt seem bad at all to me. especially since theres enough oil soaked mud caked on it to back fill a swimming pool lol

Here is another really funny one about markup pricing. If you are in need of a part immediatly and are going to go and pick it up today for example, take Kragens (Checkers and Shucks) for example. If you call and the price for the part that you need, then get the part number, go on there own web site and search the part number and it is usually 20% cheaper or more! Perfect example of the markup that they put on these parts, then the installers put there markup on top of it all, and then you end uppaying about 5x the price that the first guy started it at.
I too have had to rebuild the steering linkage assembly, but that is the price we pay for one having the IFS. Second for lifting ( or just turning up the bars! ) them, all of it changes the geometry that was set up by GM.
Don't have too much fun with this!
