Orange looks cooler than red for sure but Orange is such a Mopar signature it wouldbe kindastrange. I painted my 95 Z28's valve covers orange and it looked awesome! But the orange block thing is a Hemi/big block chrysler thing.

I just seen on Hp TV you should paint the block black and the bottom of the intake white. The black help disperse the heat more evenly. And the white on the bottom of the intake helps reflect the heat from the block.

Paint the block and pan black and then paint "If you can read this then you probably pissed me off!" on the bottom of the oil pan! lol. Orange was used on Chevys in the 60s thats all I know. My buddies 68 Camero 327 block was orange. But Chrysler used it too. Paint it the same color as you truck! Like the same shade and all if you could.

I don't see what the hipe is with chrome pans. We get people in O'reilly Auot Parts(typically rednecks) frequently asking for chrome oil pans...... who in the world is ever gonna see that besides you and possibly a lube boy at some oil change place? LOL, I just don't get spending money on something you'll almost never look at. On top of the fact that it won't be shiny after you've driven it 50 miles or more.
