Default Radiator Leak

Need some help with a radiator leak. I have tried several of the stop leak products on market, seems to work for a while then the thing starts to leak again. Any help on how I can stop this area from leaking would be appreciated. Thanks, pic attached. It is on the drivers side, top of the radiator.

Let me guess...

Vortec engine, driver side plastic tub, 3-6" down? Roughly 140,000 miles?

The best thing you can do is find a reputable radiator repair shop that will repair radiators with plastic tubs. I got mine fixed, flushed, and recored for $90.

For the time being though, you may want to try loosening your radiator cap to the notch before removal. This won't allow the system to pressurize, which is fine for short term, but it also won't get up to temperature.

Hopefully this helps.... Also, if I'm wrong about my guess, that's because I oftentimes like to pretend I know stuff I don't!

Yeah that crack being sealed cold wont help, cause when it heats up it expands and breaks the band-aid. Time for new tanks.

Replace teh radiator... that is the cheaper method. Better than burning up a motor.

You say a 4 core, the most I have seen so far is a 2 core. What is the difference between them, and which is better.

a 4 core is thicker and has more cooling capacity (mine is a full 2 inches thick) here in missouri when it gets hot it also gets humid and i do a bit of pulling so it was kind of a no brainer.....if you have a oriellys around I can give you the part #

Well we have schucks here, which looks like they are owned by the same company. So maybe they might have access to it. THough on their site they only list 1 and 2 row radiators.
