If the new ones are like the old ones you will have to remove the diff cover and pull the retaining clips to pull the axles. If there is another way to replace the part in question I don't know it. Wait for some of the other guys to respond before taking this on.

What exactley is involved.I have never done this before but have worked on cars and motorcyles quite extensivley.Plus the dealer wants $250.00 for labor. Also would you recomend replacing the seals?

what you do is pull everything off, tires brakes, remove the rear diff cover and push the axel in, it will only move about a inch then take a magnet and you will see a clip and pull the clip out with the magnet and lide the axle out, its really easy

Yes, you should replace the bearings and seals when you have it all apart. How many miles?

It has 65000 miles on it.I have locking rear differential ,heard it was a little more involved with this rear end.Haynes book says something about rotating some locking dogs and suporting the pinion gear, before you can remove clips
