Rear Brake Squeak...
#11
Well the squeak came back the other day and I am about at my wits end on this damn brake issue. After a lot of online searching I found a guy with the same issue and I am gonna give his method a try. He had to pack the area between the inner bearing and seal with some bearing grease to stop the diff fluid from getting in the drum area. So I picked up a can of Mobil 1 Synthetic grease and pulled them apart yesterday and put YET ANOTHER set of seals in. I packed it real good with grease to where when the adjusting bolt is tightened it would ooze out just a bit. I also tapped the new seals in further using the old seal to take it below flush with the inner part of the hub. Before I was just tapping them flush. I have my fingers crossed that this will finally do it!!!! The good new is I am so familiar with this set-up now I was able to do both sides in about an hour. Wish me luck!!!!
