I'm having a lot of trouble with my 03 Silverado 6 lieter lately with it going into a limp mode and having reduced engine power. What happens is while driving it with ding and then show reduced engine power on the dash display and then only run at a fast idle. Always seems to happen when I'm about ten miles from home and I have to limp back at 5-10 mph. very fustrating to say the least. After it has sat for a while it will drive fine but then go back into limp mode without any warning. I've had it to the local garage several times over the summer and they have run the codes and can't ever come up with the solution. The last time they replaced the throdel posision sensor and it seemed to be fixed for a month or so but today it happened again.

has anyone else had something like this happen andif so how did you fix it? I'm at my witts end trying to get to the bottom of this sinceI need this truck to plow snow soon.
