Default Reverse (backup) camera

Has anyone installed an aftermarket reverse camera system in your truck? I know there are some cheap wireless ones and the more expensive wired ones, so I just want to hear some of your experiences with installing and results. Thanks for any input. Some clever/neat ideas for mounting the monitor would be cool, too.

If you are really serious about this whole back up camera thing you should check out Crutchfield. They basically have everything. You may also want to check out JC Whitney, they might have something that would float your boat. I would put a new head unit in the truck and then hook up the back up camera to that. Then it would look clean and have multi uses for the monitor.

Yeah, I've seen the ones Crutchfield offers, but I am more curious about people's experiences with installing and using them, than where to get one. Also, I really dislike aftermarket head units, even thoughthey often sound a lotbetter. My idea is to integrate asmall (6" or smaller) monitor into my dash somehow. Thanks for your suggestion, though.

I'm getting the pioneer system when I get my in dash unit. No experence yet but it seems like that will be a good combo. It looks like most of the bigger audio companies also make the camera systems.

My boss and I put one in hit Nissan. The wireless ones suck and get alot of interference. He found a guy in canada that has good cameras and good prices that has great cameras. I am going to get one to fit right above my hitch but below the bumper to protect it. I will get the link from him tomorrow.
