Default rough starting...

For some reason my Sierra is starting wierd from time to time. I'm noticing more frequently now every couple of days or so when I go to start it it will fire up, bog down, stumble and almost stall out for about 2 seconds and then it runs fine. Any ideas? 03 with the 4.8 in case any of you don't remember what it has. I can't imagine what might be causing it except maybe the fuel pump but it only has a little over 40,000 miles on it so that wouldn't make sense.

It's been going on for a few weeks now I'd say. Usually it's not too serious but today it really worried me. It's getting to be every to every other time now it does that and I'm very concerned about it now. Has Argon been posting recently? I haven't been on in a while due to computer problems.

I think he posted within the last day or so. I know mine has been doing it very off and on for months. It may not be the fuel filter since I had mine replaced 2 months ago. Not sure about you but it became more erratic for me after I used fuel injector cleaner at 49k miles, yesterday it sounded like it had a mild cam at first, then got rough enough I thought she was going to die for a few sec's, I could feel the truck shutter over the stereo. I haven't seen much on the web about the 4.8 period either.

Could it be the change in temp outside. Don't they change fuel mixtures during colder months?

Could that really make a difference Cracker? I've been meaning to take my truck in to get it checked out but 12 hours a day 6 days a week leaves no room. Not trying to thread hijack but I'm VERY interested in this thread

I hate to sound like stupid but what does the fuel regulator look like? I'd go check it right now except I don't know what it is, LOL.
