Security Light Question

Security Light Question
Good Day Everyone!
I've got a puzzlement perhaps you can help me figure out with my GMC Sierra 6.0 Liter new body style 4-WD truck.
I was driving and 20 minutes into the journey, the Message Center displayed the "Security" light. Fearing an imminent stall or a no-restart, I drove to a safe place, turned the ignition off. I re-started the truck & it ran fine. About a mile down the road, the "Security" light came back on.
I've driven it several times since without the light coming on & several times with the light coming on. Sometimes it is 1/2 hour into the trip, sometimes 3 or 4 minutes. It seems, other than blocking the ever present "Low Fuel" warning, to not affect anything.
I tried the alarm system by locking the truck with the window down, reaching in & opening the door. It worked. I thought (from reading here) it may have something to do with the remote starter. I pulled the fuse for it. (That device was on the truck when I got it about 3 years ago. It is Code Alarm Model CA420. I don't use it because I'm too cheap to waste the gas.) I asked at the local Code Alarm installer, but all I got was a sales pitch for a new one, saying that one is obsolete. (It does start the truck if I want it to.) Pulling the fuse for the remote start does not change things- Light still comes on.
I'm wondering how to make this stop & will it eventually strand me or my wife somewhere? I really don't mind if I have to disable the theft system, as the bad guys around here know that if the alarm rings, they have hours to loot or hot wire. Alarm noises are rather ubiquitous.
Thank you all very much for your help on this one. I am really concerned that my wife will get stranded somewhere (me too, actually)

I would try a security relearn first -
1. First, insert the ignition key and turn the ignition switch to the “On” position (Do not start the engine). Leave the switch on for 11 minutes. The security light may flash or be on steady during this 11 minute period. Make sure the light is no longer on or flashing before proceeding to #2 .
2. Turn the ignition switch off for 30 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the “On” position (as in step #1) for 11 minutes again.
4. Turn the ignition switch off for another 30 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the “On” position for 11 minutes a third time.
6. Turn the ignition switch off for 30 seconds one final time.
7. Turn the ignition switch to the “On” position one final time and wait 30 seconds.
8. Attempt to start the engine. If the engine starts and runs normally, the relearn is complete. If the engine does not start, check for trouble codes and address them before attempting the relearn procedure again.
