six speed manual?

RE: six speed manual?
I would love to have a 6-speed manual in my truck, but chevrolet has evidently decided that everyone who likes upgraded features like 6 disc changer also only wants auto tranny. I like shifting gears and having alot of choices as to what gear I am in and when to shift. I wish they would offer a Z-71 fully loaded with a manual 6-speed Allison and manual 4WD shifter on the floor.
As far as putting one in, if you are starting from an auto, it is going to be expensive. New bellhousing, tranny, adapters, clutch, linkage, cutting of floor, new mounts etc. I wanted to do this with my last Z-71 and cost was 5K or more. If starting from a manual then just length of tranny, adapters, and possibly driveshaft length change if tranny is different length.
