Yeah that torque management garbage will get the best of anyone off the line. Froma 20 roll mine will usually drop into 1st and bypass it though... or atleast seemingly. I seriously don't know how you have done all of that and can't keep up with his truck.

Doesn't the Hypertech let you partially disable your torque management? I know it doesn't help nearly as much as the Predator but I'd still think you should be able to get him. I don't know man! Just race him with the 350z until you get something figured out, LOL!

yea i have it on 75% right now. i traded in the z for the truck when i came to utah. believe it or not a 300 hp rwd sports car with no tcs doesnt handle well in the snow. i havent raced him since i did the hypertech. i did it tonight. so what do you think of that servo?

Do you mean you have 75% of the Torque management disabled or 75% of the torque management turned on?

Also, this is the servo your talkin about right? http://www.jetchip.com/products.asp?pid=18557 Sounds good but there are so many listed there.... don't know what differences they all make. I'm definately gonna doa servo swapif I keep my truck but this all depends on whether or not I can come up with a better income or not.

Also, I can see where a 350z would be a little unsatisfactory up north... I'd still rather have one of those than my truck, LOL! I'll be content with my MKIII whenever I get it fixed though.

N/A 87 MKIII w/5speed. Currently tearing the head off to replace the head gasket and refurbish the head.

Youmissed my question about the torque management. Do you have 75% of itturned off or 75% torque management still on?

Here's my Supra.

motoguy:

i believe that what you mean is that you have the shift fimness set to 75%, i have owned both the PP3 and now currently own the Max Energy and they only offer (as far as i can tell) shift firmness and not the ability to disable the engine torque management. From what i have researched the Diablo Predator is the only one that allows any adjustment to the Torque Management system.

i have been less than blown away with either Hypertechs power wise (87 octane of course i refuse to pay the price for 93) but i have felt a little difference, im only on my second tank of gas for the Max Energy but looks like maybe a 1-1.5mpg increase (but i do 80-85% city driving) if i am easy on it.

I could be wrong about the Torque management, i will email hypertech tomorrow to see if the Max Energy is going to be updated to allow the Torque management to be adjusted.

Have a good one.
