Default so i need help baaadddd w/ an exhaust

I have a 99 Z71 ext cab, newer body style w/ the 5.3l
I had a glasspack put on a whiles back and it really sounded like crap.
It would sound alright cruising at low speeds but when I got on it, it would sound like its just blowin out air and I definitely noticed some loss in the power.
I got it removed about 2 weeks later nd got a flow 40 series single in/ single out w/ a turn down.
Yes it sounds quite a bit better, got my power back, but its just not loud enough to what I really want. Really frustrating
Im looking for a bigger, deeper tone w/o loosing too much backpressure as I did w/ the glasspack.
I was thinking a single in/dual out exhaust goin straight out to the back would be good but Im not sure at all.
Can anyone help me plz?

I have a 40 series flowmaster 3" in dual 2 1/2" out on my 02.I cut my old of myself and hung my new muffler, then drove to muffler brothers and had them put tail pipes on.I bought a set of stainless steel magnaflow tips on ebay for 50$.I cut a slit on each side and clamped them with heavy dutie hose clamps that way i can reuse them since they will last almost forever.

I got the Summit catback system and it is a little loouder than stock and I did not lose any power. It sounds pretty good when you get on it.

Dual out Buddy! That is the only way I will go. 1 in 2 out the rear 2&1/2 not 3"... straight out... well until I get my longtube headers, but that will be a while. The only thing about the Summit system is; and I will be the 1st to tell ya, It is not made of the greatest material. The price explains it all. I put it on in August 2004 I think, but definately in 2004 and it is showing signs of corrosion aka that nasty little word "rust", but only around were the pipes come together. It i not leaking though. I travel to San Antonio once a month from Houston (200 miles 1 way) and it vaporizes the condensation in it... I think that is why it has lasted so long.
Anyhow you gotta read the directions closely before you instal it. Other wise you will be kicking yourself trying to figure it out. The tail pipes on 1 side run between the leaf springs and the shock... hint hint! And you will need to buy and extra tailpipe hanger for the passenger rear exit from an autoparts store not Summit Racing. The one it comes with is a joke. And of course if you choose too, you can install the system yourself on the ground as I did, but that was my choice. Next time I will go to a mufler shop I think. I have a great deal on a 40 series Flowmaster dual out with chrome echo chambers... not much more than the Summit system. However I am happy with it. It is a little louder than stock and it is really noticeable when you get on it. My wife and nieghbors hear me when I crank it up at night to go to work. However since this has been my only system on the truck besides the stock one I have no comparison. It does turn heads though, because no one else has it on their truck and I like to be different.

I do alot of driving between Victoria, Austin, and San Antonio, so I'm really hoping this system will be worth it. I was also thinking about putting echotips on it too. Thanks for the tips on installation, I'll probably be doing it myself.

I don't know if you're gonna get a quality exhaust that's much louder than the 40 series...

personaly if your putting a dual system on you want to hear it or whats the point.flowmaster does the best with any vehical.flowmaster will make a vehical sound as if i has a mild cam and just at idle its mild but accelerating it sounds like a well tuned exhaust threw all rpm ranges.i dont think you will find better flow, sound and not lose low end in any other mufller/exhaust.
