I have a 2003 silverado with the 4.3 vortec and 5 spd manual tranny>> do throttle body spacers work as good as the aftermarket says they do or would i be wasting my time and money?? if i wont be, which spacer do u guys think works best?>>>>>also, is there a company that makes a pistol grip shifter (either the handle or from the floor-up)?? the only thing i can find is theHurst pistol grip but i would like to have something thathasa stain wood grip with polished alumimiun sandwiched inbetweenlike u see in old muscle cars>>> thanks for any feedback

Eerybody has said the the spacer do work. Trans dap makes one for $50, and a couple guys here have them and like them. I am getting one soon. As far as the shifter gripI have no clue.

YES PLEASE DO IT AND THEN TELL US HOW WELL IT WORKS SO i DON'T HAVE TO BE THE FIRST ONE IN THE 6 PACK CROWD.

I'm not sure how the TBS's work for the V-6's, but for the V-8's they increase throttle response and that is about it. I've said this before, but I'm sure they add additional hp/torque, but you are not going to feel it. As far as gas mileage, I didn't notice a increase or decrease. My suggestion is to buy it. You really can't beat the price, $50-$120.

Ditto^^^ As far as the pistol grip goes, good luck... Let me know if you want to buy some 1911 grips and make your own.
