sputtering 1500, Ignition Control Module?
2002 silverado, would not start for nearly a week. Found that the distributor cap was heavily oxidized and corroded. Distributor air vent was clogged. Replaced distributor cap, rotor, coil and all plugs. Starts immediately now and most of the time idles better than it has for years. but will not take fuel or accelerate with out stumbling, coughing, sputtering and farting. I replaced the fuel pump just over a year ago. Could it be the ignition control module? Another pump? How does the ignition control module act when it starts to fail? Does it just quite or react as I have described. Any help would be appreciated,

What engine do you have? With having a cap and rotor on a 2002 truck, wouldn't that make it a 5.7L old style 350? If I am correct, the Vortec 350 had plastic intake plenums and no distributor rotor like the old ones. They have camshaft position sensors where the distributor goes.
If it's an old style 350, and it has a distributor cap and rotor, and some small components under the cap, I'd say that the style of module you have just plain old dies. Just doesn't work anymore.
