Default stove paint on motors

Just wondering how stove paint would work on the intake and block of a motor. I want to paint the motor in my truck just to make it look a little better. And i dont want to mask things off to use the engine spray paint. Motor is still in truck

I wouldn't use stove paint. I would use if anything the recommended paint for the motor or tractor paint. I recommend international harvester red. It has all of the correct properties and it looks good too

Just my 2cents

It's not just a high temp paint you are looking for. Stove paint is very thin where engine paint is a thick based epoxy high temp paint.

Check this site out. I used this stuff on my motor and I was very happy. Yes it's expensive, but IT WORKS !
