Thanks bro, but it was hardly close (15 lengths)! Maybe when I install that new jet engine in my truck I'll be able to keep up with you.
It'll be alot better race when I get rid of those 2.56's and get me some 3.42 or 3.73's with a posi !![&:]

No problem brother, glad I could help again! You are right, there is a significant difference in power between the 87 and 91 setting. When I go on long trips or such, I will install the 87 program because of gas prices. Other than trips, it always stays on 91 octane setting.

Have you checked out the acquisition package online? It is a program that will give you 0-60 times, 1/4 mile ET, and all sorts of other cool stuff like air/fuel ratio, transmission tempature, etc... It is a free download, so check it out. I had some bad luck trying to download it. After I attempted to download it I received a error message and my flaspaq literally froze up. I contacted Superchips and they were very helpful. I mailed them the flashpaq, which they paid for shipping, and I am now just waiting to get it back. If you ever have any questions that I can't answer, just call Superchips. They are a good company and will do anything to help you. You don't find that much anymore.

I did download the acquisition their are some nice add on'sin that up date. After installing the Air Aid cold air intake, flow master muffler, andthe 91 super chips performance mode, the truck flat out hauls *** and gets 27 miles per gallon! Super Chips is the sh&^!!

Even if you did run the 87 octane and it did correct it, (by dumping more fuel into the mixture), your fuel economy would get so bad, you'd be better off sticking with the premium.

I agree with that 100%!

I don't have a tune (YET), but I notice a huge difference in power and fuel economy when I go between 87 and 93. When I use the 87, it feels like there is more friction in the motor... Like it's out of oil in the top 1/2 of the cylinder...
