It seems lkeairaid makes a pretty good product. Have you done your throttle body too?

noim gettting a intake, spacer, and headers next month. I figured since im having surgery and plenty of time off(30-45 DAYS) i could spend it working on my truck.

look on summitracing.com. They will show 3 or 4 diff. ones for your truck. Airaid makes the best one, but it makes a loud sucking/whining/whistling sound. Others advertise that they dont make that sound. I personally like that sound, but it annoys some of my friends. Hope this helps...

At "performancecenter.com" they have a jet spacer for $80. It is suppose to hae 1 more HP and 1 more TQ for $9 less than the airraid brand. I bought my headers and intake from them and the delivery and assistance in buying was great. I have had no issues to call them on so service I cannot comment on. But I am happy with the choices they helped me make.

Will you post the results of how that spacer really works?

From what I understand about the spacer, it is supposed to give more room between the intake manifold and the throttle body so that the air can flow more smothly in the intake. Stock the air goes into the manifold, then hits the metal behind and bounces back toward the air coming in therefore blocking the air trying to come in.

Yep, and most of them have "spirals" in them that atomize the air for better combustion which turns into horsepower, torque, and gas milage.

No, not how it functions, just how much it helps. Heard it's good for low and mid RPM, wonder if it hurts top end or not.

It definately will not hurt top end power. It should increase top end as well as everywhere else.
