Throttle position sensor question--help
I have a 2000 Chevrolet k3500 1 ton pickup and im having an issue with my throttle position sensor. i recently had some work done on it had to get the injector spider replaced because someone put stuff into my gas tank which clogged everything up and the mechanic was able to get everything cleaned out and replace but it wouldn't stay running so he tested a few things and determined that it was the throttle position sensor so it was replaced and it still doesn't work. the truck runs with it unplugged and the second you plug it back in the truck dies... i took the truck back because he suggested i take it to another shop and get it diagnosed which i don't have money for so if anyone has any suggestions or comments they would be greatly appreciated

Most repair facilities, including auto parts will check for trouble codes (TPS) for no charge. You can than decide where to go next. if infact the TPS was replaced with a bad one, which I have seen, but not often, than simply purchace another.
