Default tire size!

hey yall i havent been here in a while cause i was deployed and i mad a little money while over there and i was wondering. i got a stock 01 silverado 4x4 and i was wondering if yall think that i could fit 33" baja belteds on there without rubbing the wheel well. i was also thinking of maybe putting a 3" lift on it with the 33"si cant go any taller than that cause i am 5'6" and i dont want it to look cheesey. which one should i do? i want it to look more meaty rather than taller. i have 275r17 on there right now and i dont think that the 33" are very much more wider but i figured that i would get a couple more peoples opinions

With a 3" lift you should have no major problems putting on 33's. Just put on a 4" lift, that was there is no uncertainty.

On a stock chevy 1500 z-71 there are many of us running 285 70 r17 or 285 75 r16 and the tire is 32.7 inches tall and 11.2 wide and they fit with no problem. So as long as you go with no more then 33 tall and 12 or so wide you will be fine. And they look alot better then the stock 265 70 r17 or 265 75 r16.

I also run 285/70/17 with no issue, but mine is an 05' like hunt.

This might be a dumb question, but do you measure the tire from the ground with the weight of the truck to the top of the tire. Or do you measure the total surcumference of the tire. I just installed the super chips program and my friend says to measure the tire for left to right total size.

Just enter what size is on the tire.

I have the superchip flashpaq as well and you have to enter the tire height in inches. Here is a link for you to solve the equation. Go to the Tire Height Calculator and submit your width, aspect, and rim size and the calculator will do the rest. If you get a answer like 32.85, then just round up to a 33" and submit that in the flashpaq. Let me know if you get it or not.

Got it thanks for your help! I was off by 1/2 inch. Do you think it will make a performance difference? Or just heal the spedo?

No problem, glad I could help! No, it will not make a difference in performance, just calibrate your speedo.
