Tire wear

Tire wear
I bought an 09 Silverado in April and had the tires rotated at the end of July. After rotating them, there was a loud vibration sound coming from the front. I took it in yesterday to get it looked at and it was just that the tires were worn differently. It is going to be $978 to replace the tires and balance and all of that junk with the Bridgeston Dueler A/T. My question is will they eventually wear themselves back to where there isn't any vibration? I have driven on them since the July rotation and it almost sounds like it has gotten worse. Any suggestions for new tires that are better for highway driving? Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks!

I doubt they will wear themselves back to true. I haven't seen it lately but I have seen tire shops that will true the tires. They spin the tire on a machine that has a cutting tool attached. It cuts the tire like a lathe. It can take a lot of rubber off but it can make them ready to balance. I have an '09 also and I have the tires rotated every every time I change the oil (5-6000 miles). If the tires are run too long on the non drive wheels it will cup the treads and it will be impossible to balance. Good luck.

Ya I bought the truck in April with 50,000 miles on it and I'm guessing the guy that owned it before didn't ever rotate the tires or only did it once. It is pretty bad. I am going to have them check the alignment and then I'll replace the tires after the winter since they have a good amount of tread left on them. Thanks for the response.
