Too loud??

Too loud??
Ok so I've been browsing the LMC trucks catalog that I got and I came across this system: http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cd/full.aspx?Page=110. (Top left, single in dual out)
I REALLY like the price and the concept of the system but I am hoping it won't be too loud on my CAT-less truck. I have to be at work by 5:30am so I would prefer to have an exhaust that just has a nice quieter throaty growl at idle and low revs but upon accleration it'll be nice and beefy.
I'm in high school so my budget is quite limited indeed

I think that will be good. It will keep that cruise tone down a bit but really sound mean at WOT. Remember, these motors love back pressure. They help low end torque. Your top end will open up a bit, but there is a threshold to balance it out. Since u dont have any cats now, like me, I noticed my launch sucked bad!! So I will either put a higher stall, or a more restrictive exhaust. Remember, just cuz its loud, dont mean it will be faster.

I am a law-abiding citizen in the United States and have no reason to drive fast.
Ok that was total BullSh*t, but to be honest with you I'm not too much of a throttle demon on the low end. As light as my truck is right now and with the stock 350 and 3:73 gears, it likes to slip a little on grass around the farm or on wet pavement if I'm not careful. So you are thinking it won't be too loud then when I'm trying to sneak out in the early morning??

It will rumble still at very little throttle. More deep not obnoxious loud. If you are just trying to tone it down, then put an actual muffler on there. Sounds like your more for sound than performance.

I had a 1990 Chevy with a 350(5.7) and 373's. I also had a Hypertech Thermomaster chip, Edelbrock intake, Underdrive ASP pulleys, JBA shorty headers, K&N air filter. And for an exhaust system I had a glasspack muffler and then dualed out and it was not too loud. I was actually complemented on it. And my cat was not on the truck either...
Now on my 04 GMC I had the Summit Racing catback system and it was not too bad either. My buddy run the Summit System on his 91 Chevy 5.7 373s and it sounded great too. Maybe that will give you another option.
