Torque Converter!!
I am looking into a better torque converter for the ole girl and was wondering if anyone has done this, and what kind of project is it to install one. Probably looking for 2000 stall I believe. Also does the b+m shift kit help a bit? Also finnally would it be a project or could it even be possible to install a b+m floor shifter for an 06?

RE: Torque Converter!!
Ive seen guys use the B&M shift kit along with new corvette servos to get a much better shift (plus you can remove abit more torque management vs stock if you had a programmer) so Id definitely recommend grabbing them for around $20-45 depending where you look. Sorry couldnt exactly answer the whole thing.

RE: Torque Converter!!
Do a run on a dyno to find your peak torque....get a converter ~500 RPM lower. You should be able to maintain street ability and achieve what you are looking for race wise. I assume you enjoy straight roads with light trees...er....stop lights.

RE: Torque Converter!!
I've never installed a shift kit and all the torque converters I've changed came from running drivelines, they already had fluid in them. Changing them was not hard, just R/R after separating the tranny from the engine.
