the only way i know of is get a custom tuned computer in your truck. programmers (other than diablo, they say they reduce it) won't get rid of torque management

Basically, it prohibits the engine from going WOT (at take-off) for a few seconds while the pedal is held in that position. I know that the computer changes the timing alot during that timeframe to accomplish the task, but I don't know what else may be involved.

With a custom tune, you can get around it(or rid of it). However, most who have posted that they had it "turned off" will be back a short while later saying that they had a certain % of it put back in. Fact is, our trucks have enough performance to get nasty without it, and most have it put back for fear of breaking something in the truck without it. Apparently it has an adverse affect on the weight of your right foot, whenever removed...[sm=dontgetit.gif]

i wish my truck was manual. i had an 04 with manual and could spin through 4th easily, but the truck had no bells or whistles, plain jane. so i got one with everything but leather, but still miss the manual...
