Tow/Haul mode
I had never used it til this past weekend's atv trip to West VA. damn, i wish this truck drove and shifted like this all the time. was a big difference while climbing the mountains up there, the truck wasnt always hunting for agear.
oh yea and impressed a ford guy. To catch up to everyone else, with the 6x12 trailer, 800 polaris, was doing 85-90 @ 5200-5300 rpm and still pulling hard. caught up to them before it went any faster.
have a good one.

RE: Tow/Haul mode
You'll definately notice some beneficial improvements with tow/haul on but the problem is it likes to ride in gears lower than necessary quite often so you'll be wasting a LOT more gas with this feature turned on. It also shifts really hard when your pulling a really heavy load. Don't know if that's good or bad but unless I'm pulling something really heavy I just prefer not to use it.

Around here, you don't even have to be haulin heavy, especially when going thru the mountains. Its nice to keep it out of fourth when climbing them, otherwise its like 3-4, 4-3, 3-4, 4-3 constantly. But when not hauling, yeah it murders gas mileage. I will use 3rd before I use tow/haul unless im towing a trailer or maxed out on payload.

I like using it, so much that I use it very often despite gas use.
It shifts a lot harder, and feels much quicker. It also sounds better if you have a good muffler.
Let it rev up in 1st or second, almost to when you think it will shift, and then stomp it. The result was impressive to me.
I passed a truck with my tow/haul mode on that usually beats me when im not in T/H.
Ill say this; If gas was $2 a gallon, my tow/haul would be on ALL the time.
